Ourense heeft een rijke historie en is de moeite waard om te bezoeken. Al is het maar om een middag te ontspannen in de heerlijk warme natuurlijke warmwaterbronnen die je midden in de stad vindt. Uit deze tijd is tegenwoordig slechts een voetbrug in het centrum bewaard. Deze &#8220;Ponte Vella&#8221; (oude brug) gaat over de rivier Mi\u00f1o, de rivier die dwars door Ourense stroomt en vele kilometers verderop de natuurlijke grens tussen Spanje (Galici\u00eb) en Portugal vormt. De kathedraal van Ourense is voor het eerst gebouwd al in de zesde eeuw. In welke stad vind je nu van deze natuurlijke jacuzzi&#8217;s? Dankzij een van de grootste voorraden geothermisch water van Europa zijn er in Ourense, en de nabije omgeving, meerdere natuurlijke warmwaterbronnen. Sommigen heffen zelfs geen entree en zijn volledig gratis. Bij andere baden betaal je een kleine entree en kun je rekenen op wat meer voorzieningen. Meest tot de verbeelding sprekend is ongetwijfeld het bad in de oude stad.<br \/>Het water in de baden is tussen de 36 en 60 graden warm. Behalve warm zit het water ook vol zuiverende mineralen. Een heerlijke manier om te ontspannen in de stad!<\/p>\n<p>Tip: ook tijdens korte, koude dagen is een bezoek aan de warmwaterbronnen heerlijk. Sommige zijn ook &#8217;s avonds open. Heerlijk gezellig verlicht.<\/p>\n<h2>Omgeving van Ourense<\/h2>\n<p>Ourense heeft een zeer fraaie omgeving. Veel bos en ook heuvels en bergen. Een ideale omgeving om lekker outdoor te gaan.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Twee tips in de omgeving Ourense die ik je niet wil onthouden:<\/p>\n<p>Tip 1: Ribeira Sacra<br \/>Het bekende wijngebied bij Ourense. Een groene, mysterieuze en adembenemende streek. Behalve wijngebied kent Ribeira Sacra ook \u00e9\u00e9n van de fraaiste uitzichten van Galici\u00eb. Deze vind je bij (mirador) <em>los balcones de madrid<\/em> in de vallei van de Sil.\u00a0<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.galiciatips.com\/nl\/activiteiten\/dubbel-genieten-wijnstreek-ribeira-sacra\/\">&gt; Lees meer over Ribeira Sacra<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tip 2: het dorpje Allariz<br \/>Dit dorpje ten zuiden van Ourense kent een rijk historisch centrum. De inwoners hebben veel aandacht besteed aan het herstel van historische gebouwen. Daar ontvingen ze zelfs een Europese award voor. Maak een wandeling door het oude dorp en zijn fraaie parken. Vergeet daarna niet te genieten van een maaltijd bij een van de restaurantjes aan de rivier.
