Maar oud op nieuw in Galici\u00eb gaat net wat anders dan in Nederland. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Een traditionele jaarwisseling in Galici\u00eb ziet er ongeveer als volgt uit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>21:00 uur &#8211; start diner<\/li><li>23:30 uur &#8211; toetje<\/li><li>00:00 uur &#8211; las uvas<\/li><li>00:01 uur tot laat &#8211; feest <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Oud op nieuw start met een diner<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Zowel in Nederland als in Galici\u00eb is de jaarwisseling om 12 uur h\u00e9t hoogtepunt van de avond. Niet om 6 uur \u2019s avonds, zoals in Nederland, maar het begint ergens tussen 9 en 10 uur \u2019s avonds. Iedereen dineert, en het belangrijkste daarbij is dat het toetje vlak voor 12 uur verorberd is, want om 12 uur \u2019s nachts komt de belangrijkste nieuwjaarstraditie: <em>las uvas,<\/em> de druiven. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Las uvas<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Net als in geheel Spanje is d\u00e9 nieuwjaarstraditie om tijdens de jaarwisseling 12 druiven te eten. Na het toetje worden zakjes met druiven uitgedeeld. Iedereen, ook de kinderen, krijgt 12 druiven. Dit zijn de druiven die geluk moeten brengen en worden gegeten om 12 uur. Met enige symboliek: 12 druiven van geluk, voor voorspoed in de 12 maanden die het nieuw jaar brengt.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Het druiven eten begint klokslag 12 uur. Bij iedere klokslag \u00e9\u00e9n druif. Het ziet er best komisch uit. Er is altijd enige spanning en haast om geen klokslag te missen. Kijk om je heen en je ziet altijd wel iemand stuntelen met het openen van zijn zakje (tip: doe dit voor 12 uur), je ziet mensen die met volle mond komen te zitten door de snelle opvolging en er zijn slimmeriken die de druif alvast in bijten om daarna makkelijker te kunnen opeten.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Na de druiven knalt het vuurwerk en proost men. Net als in Nederland. Mooie vuurwerkshows zie je natuurlijk in de grote steden, zoals op het strand van Riazor in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.galiciatips.com\/nl\/bestemmingen\/a-coruna\/\">A Coru\u00f1a<\/a> of op de Praza de Obradoiro in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.galiciatips.com\/nl\/bestemmingen\/santiago-de-compostela\/\">Santiago de Compostela<\/a>. Galici\u00ebrs zijn nu eenmaal eigenwijs. In de plaatsen\u00a0Vilagarc\u00eda, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.galiciatips.com\/nl\/bestemmingen\/o-grove-la-toja\/\">O Grove<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.galiciatips.com\/nl\/bestemmingen\/cambados-albarino-hoofdstad\/\">Cambados<\/a> en Porri\u00f1o worden de druiven al ruim van tevoren genomen. Om 12 uur \u2019s middags, ook bij 12 klokslagen, maar dan in het licht. En uiteraard ook gewoon met een toost! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ondergoed in de kleuren rood, geel of groen<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Aan de druiven doet iedereen mee. Andere gebruiken zijn persoonlijker. Bijvoorbeeld het idee dat direct iemand kussen om 12 uur een jaar geluk brengt, of de ramen openzetten op 31 december, zodat het oude jaar weg kan waaien.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Een gebruik dat ook regelmatig toegepast wordt is gekleurd ondergoed dragen tijdens de nieuwjaarsnacht. De kleur geeft aan wat je in het nieuwe jaar wenst. Rood staat voor liefde, geel voor rijkdom en groen voor gezondheid. Dit vindt plaats rond een uur of 15 in de middag.
