Ook Galici\u00eb. De regio zit net als de rest van Spanje in lock down om het virus te remmen. Wat gebeurd er in deze tijden van crisis allemaal in Galici\u00eb? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Update 5 juli 2020: Klein gedeelte Galici\u00eb weer in lockdown<\/strong><br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.galiciatips.com\/nl\/2020\/07\/08\/lockdown-in-galicie\/\">Lees hier meer<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>\/\/ Mei 2020 \/\/<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Volop werk in Pi\u00f1or, het dorp waar ze grafkisten maken<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Op toevallige wijze is in Pi\u00f1or, een kleine gemeenschap nabij <a href=\"https:\/\/www.galiciatips.com\/nl\/bestemmingen\/ourense\/\">Ourense<\/a>, een levendige grafkistenindustrie ontstaan. Maarliefst 9 bedrijven zijn er in het dorp die zich toeleggen op het maken van doodskisten. Enkele decennia geleden waren er zelfs 13 bedrijven die zich hierop toelegden in het dorp.<br>De laatste jaren ging het slechter met de industrie in het Galicische dorp. De concurrentie met goedkope Chinese grafkisten was hevig. <br>Nu de coronacrisis volop toeslaat in Spanje stijgt (helaas) ineens de vraag naar grafkisten \u00e9n lokaal geproduceerde producten. De grafkisten zijn niet aan te slepen en de bedrijven in Pi\u00f1or werken dag en nacht om hun landgenoten te helpen aan een waardig afscheid, zo is te lezen in een reportage op <a href=\"https:\/\/english.elpais.com\/spanish_news\/2020-04-28\/pinor-the-spanish-coffin-town-that-cannot-produce-caskets-fast-enough.html\">El Pais (Engelstalig)<\/a>. De een zijn dood is de ander zijn brood&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">106-jarige vrouw overleeft na twee wereldoorlogen en Spaanse griep ook het Coronavirus<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Niet kapot te krijgen, deze Galicische dame. De 106-jarige Lucia Blanco overleefde twee wereldoorlogen en de Spaanse griep pandemie. <br>Op haar hoge leeftijd zagen de verwachtingen er niet goed uit toen ze in april besmet raakte met het coronavirus. Maar wonder boven wonder, na 20 dagen werd ze genezen verklaard en uit het ziekenhuis ontslagen. En net zoals in Nederland staan de horeca en toerisme bedrijven te springen om weer open te gaan. In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.galiciatips.com\/nl\/bestemmingen\/sanxenxo\/\">Sanxenxo<\/a> hebben ze een fraai plan bedacht om het bekende stadsstrand Playa de Silgar &#8216;coronaproof&#8217; te maken voor deze zomer. Een kopje koffie in de bar of een wijntje met tapas is heel gebruikelijk. Dit gehele sociale leven is stilgevallen. De straten zijn leeg, de bars gesloten. Het is een surrealistische ervaring. Bedenk daarbij dat Galici\u00ebrs in steden als <a href=\"https:\/\/www.galiciatips.com\/nl\/bestemmingen\/santiago-de-compostela\/\">Santiago de Compostela<\/a> en <a href=\"https:\/\/www.galiciatips.com\/nl\/bestemmingen\/vigo\/\">Vigo<\/a> veelal in appartementen wonen en geen tuin hebben. De afgelopen weken heeft de steenrijke Zara-oprichter vele donaties in geld en nature gemaakt aan de gezondheidszorg. Hij stelde veel Inditex (moeder maatschappij van onder andere Zara) beschikbaar om hulpmiddelen van China naar Spanje te krijgen en vervolgens verder te distribueren. Op zijn 84e verjaardag werd hij daarvoor bedankt door om 9 uur \u2019s avonds. Mensen zongen Feliz Cumpleanos vanaf hun balkon en ambulances loeiden hun sirenes.  Moeder bevalt van gezonde baby en sterft aan corona Een droevig bericht. Ook in Galici\u00eb overlijden mensen aan het coranavirus. In A Coruna belande een hoogzwangere vrouw met corona in het ziekenhuis. Haar baby is gezond en wel geboren tijdens een keizersnede, maar de moeder heeft dit helaas niet overleefd. Een drama.   Trouwen in tijden van Corona In Coru\u00f1a liet een stel zich niet weerhouden door de lock down om elkaar het ja-woord te geven. Dat betekent dat alleen essentiele verplaatsingen toegestaan zijn. Je mag dus niet zomaar een wandeling maken. Ook geen bedevaartstocht, die zijn nu verboden.
