MTB tracks and routes

There are many MTB tracks in Galicia, but how to find them? The Galician tourist office created 6 so-called MTB Centres to promote the sporty way of tourism. Those places are starting points for several routes.

What to expect on a MTB Centre?
Every starting point has a map with several routes indicated. All those routes are marked and well signed. Every MTB Centre has at minimum 100 kilometer of tracks. At the meeting point you will also find a parking lot and a toilet facility.
You can find the locations of the MTB Centres on the website of Turismo.gal.

Not near to a MTB Centre, or want to discover other routes? You can find routes by yourself as well, for example on the web site of Komoot.

Organised mountain biking trails with a local guide

Instead of looking up routes yourself, you can also go out with a guide. This way you can be sure that you will ride some beautiful routes and that you do not get lost.

A provider of organised MTB tracks, and even MTB holidays, is MTB Galicia. They are MTB professionals and offer trails on several places in Galicia. I bet they can always be close to where you are! They can guide you in English (and Spanish or Galician off course)

Just have a look at the following video for an impression. It’s shot in the surroundings of Baiona (Ríax Baixas). Looks attractive doesn’t it? But don’t worry, you don’t have to copy the tricks from the pro in the video!

Have fun, exploring Galicia by MTB is fantastic!
